who I am
I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Milan, Department of Philosophy. Before joining Milan, I was the Sarah Smithson Research Fellow at Newnham College, University of Cambridge, from 2022 to 2024.
I am the PI of a 5-year FIS3 Starting Grant on The Pragmatics of Sexual Communication and Its Ethical Implications. Click here to discover more.
I have been named on the 100 Italian women experts in History and Philosophy - 100esperte. I am the Vice President of SIFA (Italian Society for Analytic Philosophy) and a founding member of SWIP Italia (Society for Women in Philosophy).
what I work on
My research is primarily in social philosophy of language. I am especially interested in how pragmatics and speech act theory can be brought to bear on issues of moral, political, and societal concern.
I also work in feminist philosophy (pornography and silencing), social epistemology (testimony and epistemic injustice), conceptual engineering (ameliorative projects about gender-related categories), and ethics (normativity and the ethics of consent).
